JON BASILE

Basile’s workshop started in, McMinnville, OR as a design and fabrication wood shop. Focused on crafting custom furniture, fixtures, architectural millwork, and elements like windows and doors. 

Jon Basile, is a Michigan born artist, designer, and builder. Growing up among a teacher, an entrepreneur in construction, an engineer, and artist. Jon pursued a education in industrial design, at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn NY. 

The creative process for Jon always starts with a pen and a sketch book. He’s always looking for new ways of making things and new skills to tackle. That’s how he discovered Seawolf Kayaks. Since then I’ve been interested in the tradition and cultural impact of kayaks around the world.
